Adding a Connector

  1. 1

    Navigate to Connectors

Go to Settings → Connectors → Add Connector.

  2. 2

    Select data source type

Choose the engine type (e.g. Amazon RDS PostgreSQL).

  3. 3

    Enter connection details

Provide the hostname/endpoint, port, database name, and credentials. For S3, provide the bucket name and IAM role ARN.

  4. 4

    Test the connection

Click Test Connection. Aurva verifies reachability and credential validity.

  5. 5

    Save and trigger initial scan

Save the connector. An initial discovery scan starts automatically within 5 minutes.

Aurva requires read-only credentials for discovery and classification. Write access is not needed and should not be granted.
